Help, my Bold hates me.

I have downloaded some pretty basic apps, opera mini and google sync, HOWEVER my bold will not allow me to actually run them. They are in the downloads folder, I click on them and NOTHING happens.

Additionally I cannot move them out of this download folder... will i really have to go into the folder to use these applications all the time (if they ever get to working)?

Is my bold evil, am i just a moron, Help
