    i just bought a phone from a shop in dubai and when i tried putting my canadian fido sim card in the email setup wouldn't work so i contacted rim and they said i need to contact the service provider of the phone and have my pin released the problem is the blackberry has no logo on it its just an unlocked bold 9900 so i have no one to call can anyone help me?

    The PIN is still active on the previous BIS or the device was not supposed to be released to the public.

    Sounds to me like BIM needs to be activated. I had to create a new blackberry account online and and set it up using my phones umi number before mine would work
