I've had my bold since the day after Christmas and its been great. I updated the OS to .216 and the phone runs fantastic. But a few days before i updated from .190 to .216 i noticed my headset speaker was kinda scratchy when i'm making phone calls. It's almost like the speaker would be busted, but it only does it sometimes. Do you think its software related or I should try getting a new one ?
I am having the same problem on my replacement bold. At first it was random and then started doing it all the time. I have another replacement on the way.
Are you in a 3G coverage area or only Edge? I live in a rural area that only has Edge coverage, most of my calls sound a little staticy. With 3G svc the calls are crystal clear. I don't know why there is a difference, but my Iphone and Moto Razr V3xx did the same thing. I just learned to live with it.
