What a pain! I don't have any nails and you need them to open the back. Don't want to use a knife or key out of fear of scratching it. Whoever designed this... must have been a woman.

All in all though, so far I am mostly impressed. Internet still slow but faster than before. Resets much quicker. Bummed that 75% of my apps aren't available on OS7 yet. Keyboard is loud (but otherwise great). But still pretty good device.

Yeah I was afraid of breaking the back door the first time I was trying to open it. It's sort of ridiculous but the phone is amazing!

That reminds me to leave one fingernail long for this purpose.

Use a dime, or a paper clip (still rounded, not straightened), if they fit. It'll loosen after a few removals.

I've found the best option is a credit card -- won't scratch anything, seems to work.

I concure with the OP...although having a battery back TO loose is a pain...I was loading apps all day yesterday and did NO battery pull. The re-boot is fast AND your good ole 3 finger friend (alt+aA+del) is great with this keyboard

    +1

Seriously. I had to call customer service, who looked in the manual and told me to press the center in and slide it down!!!!! (DON'T, btw!!!)

I did find if you sort of pry it from the side of that indent instead of the middle of it, it pops off easier.
