I think you mean someone else. I never bought an Onyx. My only BlackBerry was an 8703 back with my previous company.
Yeah sorry I should have specified that I meant the OP...

Unless you're planning on switching carriers, the choice is pretty easy. One of them is GSM and one is CDMA. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Though from what I've seen, besides the obviously better trackpad, i think I'm going to hold off on the Onyx. I mean it's obviously a good phone, but I've been hearing great things of what is coming in 2010 and I know if I get the Onyx, i'll feel bad when the next devices come.
I will pass on some advice someone on this forum told me:
There is ALWAYS a new phone coming around the corner. If you need a phone now, get the Bold. If you can wait a few months, get the Onyx. If you can wait a year, then wait a year for what comes out next.

I really want the Onyx, but I have removed it from 'must have' to 'wait and see'. I need to have some hands on experience to test out the Storm2 and Onyx to see what is better for me. A combination of playing with my iTouch and watching Sal's videos on the Storm2 have made me reconsider getting a touch screen BB.

I believe the Odin has a SIM card slot as well so you can use it on a GSM network

There just won't be any 3G in the US, which for most people is an issue.

Not true. I have read that a Rogers Odin unlocked will work on ATT 3G.

I was speaking about CDMA "World" phones being used in the US on GSM carriers. Rogers is GSM I believe, so yes, and unlocked Rogers device will work on AT&T's 3G.

What a beautiful piece of magic. I hated that he didn't clean the 8900 though. Makes it look horrible when its actually gorgeous.

I didn't have anything to clean the 8900 with and it had the ZAGG shield which I find protects the device but attracts a lot of dirt.

So do we know a UK release date yet? My contract with o2 is over on 10th Decemeber. If it's released on o2 then I can renew with them a month earlier.

Who wouldn't be interested in prerelease units? I'd chop off a nut to get access to early BBs.

i think the backing on the 9000 is still the best blackberry backing. the block lettering is kind of ugly. seems like a nice berry but i think ill pass (:

Come on man, TMOBILE? I'm Sorry, get a real network, Verizon (Fees are unbearable) AT&T something, I had T-Mobile and a blackberry, hated the phone because I never had 3G (New York, Upstate), but I have had both AT&T and Verizon, Love the 3G coverage on Verizon.
