I am gonna upgrade to 9900 tomorrow. If I do a wipeout on the 9780...will I lose everything on my sim card and like my pins? When I get my 9900 thanks

I was going to upgrade too, but now that I look at it, I don't consider shorter battery life, poorer fixed-focus camera, and no UMA an "upgrade." Interested in selling your 9780?

Go ahead and perform the Security Wipe. It will not erase anything on your SIM card.

If you back up with DM, you can do a device switch and easily transfer all your data to your new 9900. Plus, when you log in to AppWorld with BBID, you can choose to reinstall your apps. Good luck and hope you enjoy your new BB!

    It's not rocket science...

Options > Security > Security Wipe

Exactly what I was thinking. Especially the no UMA part is a nothing short of a bad joke. Especially since the hardware is supposed to be capable of it. In an area like mine where you're still on GPRS, a phone like this is worthless. My 9780 can only unfold it's full potential when I'm on wifi at home. The rest of the time it is like a Ferrari on four donuts.

    + 1 to this.

IMHO the most appropriate and easiest way to move from one model to another in a jiffy !

As i said elsewhere and my thread was disgracefully locked i dont see this 9900 as being anything special. Build wise its very 'plastic' and the flat menu keys i thought were for cheaper blackberry models.
