    I just set up my gmail account a few days ago but all my folders are still empty? Does gmail not sync folders through the native BB mail app?

    You only get new emails in the folders, from when you set it up onwards. There is an advanced remote search though, that will help you retrieve any older email.

    Open the messages folder (the universal inbox) press menu and select search by/advanced.
    You'll find there many options to narrow your search.
