My girlfriend, sister, and mom all have the 8300. So I got used to typing on the spaced out keys long before I got my bold. After a month I was able to type at least three times as fast as when I first started. Plus, moving from a T9 razr it was initially hard to type without looking, but it too came with time!

I too switched from a 8310 to a 9000 and it took me all of 5mins to get used to the keyboard...I like the bold better than the curve

I came from a Curve 8310, and I still liked typing on that better. I love the feel of the keys on theBold, but I have problems hitting the A Q alt and P keys when I'm typing fast. Its no biggie as the Bold is so much better than the Curve.

Came from a touch screen, after about a week I used the bold like a keyboard, and I love it

I went from a Curve to an iPhone 3G with it's touch screen. I feel that the Bold has the easiest keypad to use, with the Curve coming second due to its spaced out keys. Definitely the iPhone and its touchscreen typing comes a poor third! This is one of the reasons I got rid of my reasonably new iPhone 3G in favour of a Bold.

It took me 8 months to realize I was NEVER going to get used to typing on a Storm. It took me 1 day to realize the Bold has the best/easiest to use Keyboard on any phone I have ever used. :)

After coming from an iphone, I couldn't get used to the spaced out keyboard on the curve. My friend asked me to send a text on her phone and it felt like forever to type a few words. Thats one of two reasons I decided to get the bold instead of the curve because of the smooth keyboard. (the other is 3g)

I returned my Bold for the Curve 8900 just couldnt' get used to the keypad. I have nothing bad to say about the Bold, I really like the keypad but it didn't work for me personally. Good luck!

I type way better on my actual bold that my old 8310 It's more easier for me...
