Is there a way to be able to edit emails that I want to forward? I need to make a change and it won't let me

As long as there isn't an attachment, you can use a program called "forward with edit". I think it is $2.99

No way to do it without a 3rd party application unless you do the copy/paste trick...but then you don't get the email header information like sender/date/subject etc.

That's a flaw with blackberrys. I shouldn't have to pay to do that

Only the people selling the app can answer that.

work around (obviously) is to copy-paste the text in question

    1. Go to the email you want to forward.

    2. Click "forward," and insert whatever you want at the top.

    3. "Save as draft."

    4. Go BACK to the first email.

    5. Use the shift key and the trackball to highlight the text you want to edit.

    6. Use the menu key to copy that text to the cut-paste buffer.

    7. GO BACK to the second email.

    8. Paste the text into the proper place.

    9. Edit it as you wish.

Can't imagine WHY R.I.M. decided to make editing of forwarded emails so difficult ...

I know i can do that, and I have, but it really isnt the same and isnt very efficient. If I can, i usually will not respond to emails that I need to forward and edit until I can get to a computer

I agree that this should be a feature of the phone - but knicksfan, you have been wanting this for months and won't pay the 2.99? I spent that on a latte today....!

I think it's a good program - one of the few apps I regularly use and like. Even though yes, I wish it was a standard feature. I also think we should be able to change LED colours depending on the type of incoming message..... I bought BerryBuzz for that.

Doesn't that program have a trademark of the app that can't be removed?
I'm talking about some small logo or something like that.

What do you mean, f29? Where would I see this - when I use it to edit when I forward?

Maybe I see what you mean. I forwarded myself an email and it said "Powered by Mobile Imagination" right at the top. Funny thing is, you can edit it out if you like!

    forward with edit

It sends along with the edited email ... at the top of the email, well just before you start reading the email .. it states "Powered by Mobile Imagination"

This is no big deal for a FREE application .... come on now what do you want for FREE.

I like it and that little lettering does not bother me and should not bother anyone who recieves the edited email.

Yup. I think that's the one. Try to forward yourself an e-mail by taking it out
    and see if it works.

I did try that as well and it still resends the words "powered by mobile imagination" .... no biggie for me... FREE app.

When I take it out and forward the message, it stays out. Not a permanent tag.

Didn't happen like that for me - the "powered by...." words did not reappear in the forwarded message.

Not a free app for me either - paid the 2.99.

If you got a free version of it then that explains why KB's does come out.
