I don't think mine has a flashing green light, but maybe I haven't noticed... Is your network indicator on?
I think its network indicator
Yes, you will need to change the option for the phone to enter bedside mode when charging, and within the options for Bedside Mode, turn off the LED indicator.
I think thats more for like red indicator (i supposed network indicator also), but if you'd like the get rid of the green indicator entirely try disabling the network indicator.
Thanks, but I believe my setting is for the LED to be "off" in bedside mode. Other thoughts?
Are you referring to when the device is fully powered down, and light blinks yellow while charging? This just indicates charging status. Once it is fully charged, it will turn green, and stay solid. As far as I know, this can not be turned off.
bedside mode will disable this. When the phone is turned off and charging you cannot turn the light off.. just flip it over or put a little microfiber cloth over it
Options>Screen/KeyBoard>LED Coverage Indicator > Off. That should fix it.
That's when the phone is on. He asked about when it is charging.
It is a status light, blinks while charging, stays solid when fully charged.
If it's charging with the phone off, I don't think there's a way to disable the LED.
You could set bedside mode to turn the radio off if that's what you're going for by turning the phone off.
Thanks, all. Kinda stinks, but I'm sure RIM has a reason that this can't be changed.
