Fan night is august 3rd in toronto, not today as, as i understand it. the details were ABOUT fan night. fan night is when we find out about the phones...
if there is no phone announcement....that is as chickens*** an announcement that I have ever seen RIM pull. Whoever thought up this lame idea should be canned.
I really hope there's more than just that. That's a **** move for RIM to make that "announcement" a really huge deal.
Well, to be fair, it was just an inartfully tweeted teaser about this Fan Night crapola, but CB then went and interpreted it as being an announcement about the new phones -- which turned it into a big deal for us.
RIM already announced the 9900 months ago... If you were under the assumption that RIM would speak on behalf of all carriers and give out a release date, you are kidding yourself.

Yep, I think people misunderstood and thought it meant check back tomorrow for details on the new phones and OS7.
But it does state that they will say details of the fan night.
Deep down, did you honestly expect anything different from RIM? Although they still have time to pull something out today, and I hope they do, it’s not looking good. Bottom line is they’ve found another way to work us up and disappoint.
yeah i agree (i thought bb7night was just a hash tag) but on better news they have released facebook 2.0 for blackberry and if u go on inside blackberry they even show it on a bold 8900
It was mostly just poor wording. They should have mentioned the fan night earlier on, I think that's the problem. I guess a lot of people assumed that the tweet meant tonight was some sort of "BB7FanNight".
