Email on 9930
Hey crackberry. I was wondering. I recently upgraded to the blackberry q10. And I love!!! So smooth. Though there are still a couple things about the 9930 that I really miss. One of them is the way email works. The push function on the q10 isn't the same as on the 9930 especially for my yahoo act.(I know change to gmail....I cant)
I know that the 9930 works with bis and q10 doesn't. Is there a way to use email on the 9930 via Wifi when there is no active cellular plan say with verizon...? I know it CAN work on bb10 via Wifi alone.
Anyone have any info??

I get my email on my 9900 over wifi. I don't have a sim card in it, although it is a GSM phone. I wonder if that makes a difference.
Have you tried it?

I actually tried on my bold 9650 (running os6) email doesn't work but Bbm does work. When I turned on my bold 9930 I realized that I had done a wipe and I have no service books. It could be if I already have the service books installed it would work. Il try that.

In the past , there was Logicmail.
It worked over wifi .
Don't think it works on OS 7 though.

I had once tried logicmail. Wow what a crappy email solution. Now it seems to work perfectly via Wifi.

Yes I agree it doesn't compare to native email on BIS.
I 'm surprised you're able to use it on wifi alone.
Do you have different BB id's on the 2 devices ?

Yeh. I set up a new user Id with a diff email address. And downloaded all my email address. So I got all the service books. And now I have my sim card in my tmobile q10. And I can use the 9930 on Wifi if needed.
