When i connect my bold 9700 to my computer with the usb, the manager pops up and everythings fine. My only questions is that i cant eject safely with the windows safe removal tool. IS there any way to eject safely, or does it not matter?
I don't think it matters. You'd have to be very quick to disconnect your device before cached writes were completed. If you are in Mass Storage Mode, you can right-click on the BlackBerry drive letter in My Computer and eject it that way. I don't and have never had a problem. That said, I think there is a setting somewhere in Windows to disable write-caching on removable devices. I can't find it at the moment. If you do that, then you'd have nothing to worry about.
