I'm pretty conservative when it comes to buying BBs on eBay. Not only do you risk hardware/software problems, you run the risk of getting a preproduction unit that RIM can always disable if they know it's "out there" and you're out a phone and whatever cash you spent.
Some folks had a 9780 and I was dying for one, but I still didn't buy one off eBay.
"Usually phone is shipped next day, it may take up to 3 days before its shipped due to funds verification process, for some orders it may take up to 20-40 days because of preorder status."
Here's a better idea - when it's released, buy one at retail then just burn about $500 cash, and you'll be in the exact same spot you'd be in if you succumbed to this ebay junk auction.
1. You can get this just as quickly as the seller - on release day, and no one knows when that is.
2. Feedback is low for ebay world. 95%? Stay far far away.
3. Used to be active seller last year, looks like only 2 sales this whole year so far. Again, stay far away from this person.
There is absolutely no reason to spend double on this auction, since they don't have it and can't tell you when you would get it. If you actually are considering buying this, let me know, as I will sell you an unreleased PlayBook 2 for $1400 and ship it to you when it's released.
Stay away. This guy has sold 42 of these things since May 16. Meaning it's not a sale for a test unit/prototype that he has, rather he's gonna ship them off upon official release (hopefully). Estimated delivery is listed at 7/20 - 7/26.
Meanwhile, he's rolled in $41,790 in sales in 3 weeks for a product he doesn't even have yet.
only the rich will throw the cash at ebay for a pre-production unit which may faulty and not ready for real time.regular folks will wait for the fully functional working unit.i guess patience is not for some people.
It's not a preproduction unit. It's a scam to take in suckers who fail to read the details, then end up in fight to get their money back after they realize they've been had. There are no 9900s for sale on ebay. None. Just a few harsh dudes trolling for idiots.
Do not be a guppy. This is nothing but another pre order from some company that HOPES they will have stock and plainly says shipping will be late July. Note the word "ESTIMATED".
Why would you want these people to hold onto your money as when they can get one for sale, the chances you will be able to find cheaper.

It and the others 9900 auctions are NOT a scam. They are all pre orders to fool people who DO NOT READ all the text in the auction. They are not breaking any eBay rules and if they do not deliver when promised, they would refund your money or no longer be a member of eBay.
