Hi guys, I've a different inquiry. last week I've purchased a bold from ebay, claiming to be unlocked,unbranded & sealed. sealed means there was a circled clear tape, but not security sealed, looks really new, made in hungary 1.working very well. all other things are true what the seller said(unlocked,no network logo..........). The loaded OS was .247 & handset is really great. premium handsfree was with it & everything was inside plastic cover like new ones.
Is it refurbished or brand new? I knew blackberry handsets are made in canada/mexico. haven't heard about HUNGARY 1. Does rim sell unlocked new phone from their factory?
RIM has factories in three countries, Canada, Mexico and Hungary. My company also received unbranded and unlocked Berries from our cell provider, so looks like RIM sells them, if not directly, but thru providers.
