I wonder that if BBRY has the plan to continue supporting os 7? I like os 7 and I'm looking forward the 7.2 version for my bold 9900. What do you think about this?

I think they will continue to support OS7. But I also think it will be a very minimal effort put forward in the development of big advancements.

I think there maybe will be minor bug fixes here and there, but no major releases for OS 7 anymore. They will however keep supporting it because they have many many customers on Legacy OS

If that is the true, I will be sad. Anyway, os 7 has many advantages and is enough with me.

If it's fine then keep using it. I agree with the bug issues comment. I felt it was a sensible move to release the 9720 as long as people realise that the development for the OS would be minimal. There's nothing that BlackBerry can really do to 'blow away' the competition with the legacy OS.

Maybe you are right. We will continue using os 7 before upgrading os 10. 😊

That's a fair point but the vast majority of BBRY users aren't running BB10.

Let's see what happens in 12 months when the majority of legacy contracts expire. I'll be on BB10 when mine does.

Contracts are irrelevant in the majority of the world. Phones are bought outright.

Actually it was the 9720. Personally I feel that they should have just discounted the Bold 9900. In Canada this device was officially discountinued from carriers August 29th 2012 yet the majority of carrier stores (in large cities anyways) still have stock of the 9900, I've even seen BlackBerry Curve 9300's in stock.
