Just curious I've heard so many people say they cant stand it. I personally like it but think black looks way better.

I think black bezels look cheap. The Bold looks elegant to me stock. I know the metal "plating" is increadibly cheap and delicate, which sucks, but I love the silver bezel compared to all these "blacked out" Bolds and I'm actually a big fan of the leather back too.

To each his own, for sure... but to me it looks like everyone is spending a bunch of money to make the Bold look cheaper.

Definitely agree with bt and digitalboy -- silver looks best. I like black and silver as a color combo -- it's elegant. All black is, well, all black. Reminds me of my early 90s stereo system.

I like the silver. I think it gives it a nice contrast.

I love the silver. But once you get your first scratch, it looks horrible.

    Silver FTW
I won't lie though, I prefer the 8900's gunmetal look. Or even the 8310WE. Yumm..... To me that makes the Bold's silver look cheap :$

I'm not a "chrome" kinda guy lol

I just got a new silver bezel without the at&t plate and a black trackball. Looks pretty clean and classy to me.

I like them both.....the black bezel with the silver buttons looks good, it breaks down the plastic look i find.

I love how my Bold looks with silver bezel.

But I prefer having a Bold with black bezel rather than the original one in a clunky silicon protection (or anything else then a simple holster)... or with loads of scratches on it.

The silver bezel is nasty, it's a dated look from 2+ years ago. The all black, turns the shape of the bold into a more modern looking device. With the tour you can see how they incorporate silver into a chiseled look which is where modern design is heading towards.

With the all black bezel on the bold it hides the bigger size of the device and thins it out. Someone can "like" silver over the black, but in terms of design and keeping up with the times, silver is dated.

if you're careful, you won't lose your warranty. not that i recommend this, but i changed my bezel but kept the original just in case. recently my trackball stopped working...i tried replacing it myself but didn't help. so i got my warranty exchange, and they didn't charge me the $400-$500 replacement cost, even 2 billing cycles later (i think they have 14 days to review the return to decide whether or not to charge you)!

I had the black bezel for a while... i went back to OEM. I guess you want what you don't have.

Once I switched my bezel back to the silver from the black one I appreciated it more. I did like the black one though.
