Ok guys I did it........I upgraded my OS. It was my first update and it went very good. Thanks to all the help i got from this site . My question is what should i see now that i upgraded my OS? I went from .162 ( i think ) to .266. Everything looks the same and feels the same. What are some changes that i could expect to with such an upgraded?

    Thank you once again guys.

More free app memory, better battery life, better stability (although the Bold has always been a stable device).. things like that. You won't really see any actual differences.

Higher available memory and better battery life. Also when you hold down the BB button, you get the app switcher. Not much else, really.

Some say so, but it's hard to quantify. As long as you are satisfied, it doesn't matter.

Yes the browser is surely faster with 266 than it is with .1xx. Along with increased available memory the software as a whole works more efficiently and quickly with the code being optimized.

Do you guys think that .282 is a better upgrade then .266? Some people on this forum told me that I sould use .266
That for them it works better?

There's been a lot of bad stuff reported about 282. Then again, many have had no issues. I guess it depends on how it works on your phone. The biggest benefit is the ability to switch between 2G and 3G, but you already had that in Canada.

It just depends really. Different people have different results as different people have different combinations on their phone. Its trial and error and what works best for your phone. Seeing as you already had the ability to manually switch from 2G to 3G, I would suggest 266 over 288.
