I just switched from the bold 9000 to the 9700 and I am looking for new exciting features I may have missed. As of yet I haven't found any besides the camera, tracking pad, and new apps pre-downloaded. Not expecting much change but I don't want to miss anything.

I love the bold 9700 I like the 5.0 OS media file now is better in my opinion with a icon for music ringtones pictures etc. more option features in 5.0 then 4.6 and 4.7 have. The trackpad is a plus to me so easy to use,applications has its own section with themes having a wallpaper icons options is a cool feature also. Blackberry menu having a options feature in the menu above add folder and switch application. It is the simple features that makes the 9700 better then the rest and the keys on the bold,3G,big screen and processor always gets me.

Personally, nothing major just the stress of exchanging it 3x because of Quality Control issues.
But I do love it! LOL

I don't think there are major "new" features... it's more like it's an improved version of the previous Bold.

-From the home screen press menu,options and you can change themes, layouts, wallpaper, today or zen options.

-Double the battery life (arguable as usual)

-Double the memory

-No more battery pulls (hopefully) two weeks for me and don't have a need to.

-Don't forget to get your BB maps icon that AT&T doesn't add, up and running

Is this feature new that you can click the menu, go to options, and change the themes. I'm just a little confused because if this is something new I am missing it.

It's new with OS 5.0

I've 99% sure that it wasn't available on the Bold 4.6 OS

Are you trying to access via the home screen? With all icons showing what happened when you press the BB key to bring up menu?
