I am going to be selling my Bold and need to do a hard reset... but have aleady switched over the the 8900 and can't use the DM to wipe out my contacts, etc.

Is their a way to do a hard reset on the devise itself without having to use the DM, etc.? Thanks in advance....

options>security>general>menu>wipe handheld

The closest thing you can do is a security wipe. Options>security options>general settings>hit menu and select "handheld wipe"

Thanks guys... that worked perfectly. I totally forgot about the Security Wipe.

It is a shame, but my company got off of AT&T and I had purchased my own Bold (since I didn't like the standard issue company phone)... so now that we are on another carrier I will sell the Bold. It is only 5 months old and looks like it just came out of the box. Oh well!!!
