I'm trying to back up my boss's Bold 9700 with Desktop software and it's asking for a password. I input the device password and it errors.

I've tried using the alpha-version of his numeric pin (pin is 2507 so tried ed0z) and this doesn't work.

Also tried other forum suggestions of disabling password from the phone.

I'm at my wits end and have only 4 attempts left before the phone is wiped.

Having the same problem since 6 months..

If you wait some time the attempts seem to reset..
