So I have my inboxes merged... Texts, chats, emails, bb messenger, etc all go to one inbox. When in the folder, there is shortcut C to compose, but it's for email. Who emails that often? I want text! I tried searching old posts but had no idea how to word my search to get an answer...
Any help? Can I change the default?

It's a BlackBerry; email is what it's made for, not texting.

EDIT: Seriously though, I've got no idea as to the answer to your question. If you separate the mailboxes does the C shortcut work for you?

'C' is actually a device shortcut for Compose Email and just happens to work when you're in the messages application. There would be no way to set a shortcut to SMS other than through a 3rd party app like QuickLaunch.
