Looking on eBay, seems to be about $25-50 for a used one, $70-$100 for brand new.

Just posted pics in the Resurgence thread of one I saw today in Kijiji for $50. It is "lightly used" and in perfect condition. I see others for $80-$100 in good condition and I paid $90 for mine a year ago, as it was in VERY near perfect condition...

Maybe wherever you are they do not offer BIS, but in Canada it is available or standard with every carrier that I know of

Yeah well they are pretty much getting phased out.

Yup. But I wonder where he is because you can still get it in the US with certain carriers.

I am in usa and I CAN get email on my 9930 through WiFi. No BIS needed. Some email clients don't work, however, so you might need to use website versions of them.

That said, email is awkward for me to use on 9930, so I just use my BlackBerry Passport for that instead.

The Guide is definitive. Reality is frequently inaccurate.

AT&T in the States still offers BIS for no additional charge. Going tomorrow to activate my 9900.

How did it go? There is a lot to go through in the settings, takes some time to "fine-tune" everything.

To the OP: There is a "lightly used" 9900 locked to a particular network in kijiji here for $25. Thats about the cheapest I've ever seen one, and he would probably negociate!

OK so what's the verdict, AT&T and T-Mobile still offer BIS in the US for free? Any others? I'm on AT&T and very curious...thinking about picking up a 9900.

I'm using a Bold 9900 just fine on AT&T w/ BIS. When I took my sim card out of my Priv, I had to contact AT&T and give them my IME #, after that it came on line w/ no problem. Got the service books and activated w/ in seconds. Today I received my 2nd 9900 which is actually an AT&T branded one. All I did was shutdown the first one I picked up & moved my sim & memory card over to it. New 9900 activated all on it's own. Just had to update/configure it as my first one. BIS is free on AT&T. Hope that helps.

I wouldn't charge any more than $100, unless the phone is BNIB and has never been used.

I am not in the US so no Swappa and very often have to see good deals being scooped up by others on eBay.
Anyway, I had a quick trip over to Europe early this week and picked up this 9900, ordered from eBay Germany and had it delivered to my friend's place. The seller listed it as used but the phone is actually brand new. For about $68, I already considered myself pretty lucky with this one.

If any of you is keen on a new T-mobile 9900, a guy is selling a few of these on eBay US at $65 a piece and in offer mode. He is not shipping to my place so I am drooling over the deal as usual.
