    I have a bold 9900 now and want to transfer my contacts and stuff from my bold 9700 which has a broken screen, I want to know how I can connect it to the pc Its running OS6 and has a password also.. please if anyone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it. and yes I got the desktop software.

    You should be able to do a backup from BlackBerry Desktop despite the screen being broken.

    Backing up a 9700 with a broken screen definitely works. Unfortunately, I had to do that today as well.

    It better not to use the "switch device" option and trying to load your apps onto the other BB with Desktop Manager. For me, that resulted in duplicate Appworld, BBM, ... None of the versions could place an icon on the home screen.

    I reverted to a BB 8520 so I also encountered the problem that the OS 6 versions were incompatible with my OS5 8520. I had to remove them via settings > applications first.
