Are 9900 and 9930 the same????:confused::confused::confused:
Two different devices.
9900 a GSM phone requiring a SIM card, 9930 the CDMA version of the same device.
You're not very helpful.
Its the same phone, just the 9900 is a GSM device (AT&T, Rogers) and the 9930 is a CMDA device (Verizon, Sprint).

Rofl, you're not the only one who's noticed
Exactly, much like the Curve 8300/8330 and Storm 9500/9530
It's absolutely NOT the same device.
There are two different versions with different radio capabilities.
Not sure why this is so confusing to people.
Do you think many people will buy both?
best answer ever!
 2 versions of Bold Touch, why is that so confusing to you?? They're both Bold Touch, one is GSM one is CDMA.
9900 is the straight version and the 9930 comes fully equipped with AIDS. I'm picking the 9900 model... Mmmmmm fresh meat.
LOL, but 9930 will be able to make/receive calls without dropping them.
Yeah... You probably have a point there. I live in Montgomery AL and so far no drop call issues.. 3G is just lacking around here.
This article sums it up nicely:
Common features of the 9900 and 9930:

I wouldn't expect someone with over 10k posts to be so ignorant. But yes, different versions of the same device for network purposes. Same software. Same hardware. Same phone, different radios.
Thanks for clarifying.
To be fair, 9k of those could be snide, pointless posts like the ones above.
Actually they still drop just much slower...
