I've had my 9700 since about the first week they came out and this has happened to me only about 4-5 times.. I don't have heavy use so I go a long time between charges and am very happy with the battery life.

but every once in a while i will go to bed and my phone will show plenty of life so i don't bother charging. I will wake up to the battery life warning and it will have nothing left. Any ideas? Nothing is running that can be shut off when this happens, i check everytime. Not sure what could be causing it.

    Thanks

He's right, an OS upgrade should do the trick. I've never had that issue w/ my 9700. Good luck.

I had issue with one of the application, Formula1. I exit the program but it somehow did not manage to do so and still running in the background. The next morning, the battery indicator is RED.

sometimes, FB does the same thing. it will still show running even after i close it. usually, you need to give it a few minutes and it will close out. if not, i reboot to make sure its shutdown.

When I upgraded my OS it fixed it.

I understand that switching off the 3G connection helps a lot with battery life.

If you're not using any data while sleeping (and I'd love to know how you'd do that) just switch from 3G to 2G at bed time?

I usually go 3 days from full to a quarter with minimal usage and 2 days with heavy, which is still kick-arse!

Only problem with auto on/off is your phone is off which means u can't be reached!! I still wanna call no matta what time it could be urgent rather just take the battery drain route and keep my battery healthy! Lol

I had this problem occasionally with the .330 OS that came with the phone, except I only noticed it during the daytime. It would suddenly start losing 10 - 20 % and hour. A battery pull would solve the problem. I haven't had it happen since I updated the OS.
