I am struggling to figure out how to get into the clock without plugging it in the charger. Is this the only way? I feel like I'm making it more difficult than it really is. I'd like to be able to set an alarm without having to plug it in the charger to do so. Thanks

go to calander/menu and select new alarm

Just go to the clock and then Options.

You could even set it as a convenience key.
