I don't understand the need to know if a celebrity or a celebrities nieces cousins uncles sister has a BlackBerry. It kind of seems creepy and stalkerish. (yes, I know stalkerish is not a word)

Complete agreement and if "stalkerish" isn't a word it should be
I really dont get the "Celebrity has a Bold" thread, why not just make a thread everytime you see someone on the street that has one. Its not like the Bold is uncommon.
Celebrities are maketing tools whether they intend to be or not. Because a celebrity uses a certain product it might influence certain people to use it as well. People always feel like they want a common link to a celebrity, whether it be through a phone, a car, or jewelry, ect.. I personally don't care what celeb has a bold or this or that, but some people do.. A lot of companies know that celebs can get there product out there and influence people to buy it. Not sure how much sense this is making seeing that I just woke up.. Good morning CB nation!

Agreed.
I think I feel dumber after actually reading this post.
obama uses a bold made by rim just for him
the security software on that thing is supposedly very good and theres only one in the whole world, even though it looks like every other bb bold

I thought it was an 8820 he used? Might well be mistaken!
Either way, yes, the software had to be vetted first, to ensure it was secure enough.
