    Got my 9650 yesterday... As title says... Anyone else notice no carrier name - in our case "SPRINT" above the clock on the home screen?

    Never seen NO carrier before... Just wondering if a 9650/Sprint thing if something is messed up... I ported a # over last night (after receiving it so it had to be switched from what # it was delivered to me with)... Just wondering if that might have something to do with it...

    It's normal for a CDMA phone (sprint/verizon) to not show the carrier you're connected to. Only GSM phones will show the carrier tower your connected to.

    Ah - OK!

    My first CDMA berry... Only used GSM ones prior to this 9650... So I'm learning these little quirks...
