...all of a sudden. I have tried to wipe and reinstall the 266 OS, but still when I open a PDF attachement, I get an error, "This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device."

Any ideas for help would be appreciated.

When you re-installed did you install the BB Attachment Service? This is what would let you read PDF (and other) files.

Are you opening them as attachments or are you saving the attachment to memory first and then trying to open the saved file?

If the latter, you can't unless you have a 3rd party PDF reader like Repligo. Without such an app you can only open PDF files as attachments.

There are no free PDF readers available for the bold at the moment. Try Repligo, there is a trial version!

    Glad I could help.

No freebies, but do try Repligo. If you have a lot of PDF files to manage/keep it may well be worth the money they ask for it.

Call ATT tech support. They will fix the problem of not being able to open PDF attachments on the Bold 9000 by re-sending your service books with an update.

They just fixed mine and all is well.

...for anyone who searches this and sees my post above, my problem ended up being a bad file. It must have corrupted on the download. All my other pdf files were and are fine.
