as of this morning i can't get on the web. i tried several things. i disabled wi-fi and tried via the network, and vice-versa with no success. i tried switching from the BB browser to the FF emulation, no dice.

i know my wi-fi is up since my laptop works. nothing has changed with the phone. facebook works, i'm getting emails, etc.

any idea what would cause this?

it just says "loading" with the blue bar...it crawls until it's full and just stays like that.

    thanks.

Battery pull? Sometimes those gremlins are cured by a hard restart.

    thanks sedalia066 and brian.

i was able to make calls during the episode and pulling the battery did the trick. it works fine now.

any idea why that happened? i've only had this thing a few days and it's my first BB so should i expect this sort of thing?

Stuff happens from time to time. A battery pull frequently fixes inexplicable events. I agree with Brian^, don't expect it but on the other hand, don't be surprised. A battery pull is often among the first things to try.

i guess the battery pull is akin to blowing on the nintendo cartidge ; )

(that might be a generation-sensitive joke)
