    My BIS email stopped working overnight about 6 weeks ago. Initially I could not resend the service books, which as I understand would often fix this problem. I worked with Cincinnati Bell tech support for several hours and no luck. It appears as though the phone thinks it's set for BES (which it has never had). My last contact with Blackberry support said to tell my service provider to cancel the BES. CBell says it's not set up for BES, only BIS. When using Blackberry Desktop Software, there is no option to configure BIS email, only BES email. I can enter/edit email address via the phone and the Internet via CBell's Blackerry Internet Service setup.

    I/we have tried wiping the phone, updating the OS, etc.

    I can think of a few things:

    First and foremost, a battery pull.

    Option > Device > Advanced System Options > HRT Editor > Menu > Register now. This will get the Bold talkignto the carrier again.

    Log to https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=cinbell and see if your accounts are set properly, you can try sending service books from there.

    I hope these help, they usually fix this kind of issue.

    All of those have been done multiple times. I/we were eventually able to get service books loaded and the HRT populated after finally being able to get the OS updated to 7.1 from 7.0. All the correct service books appear to be there, but I guess I don't know for sure. Thanks.
