BB 9700 i cannot receive texts but i can send them BBM works fine , was on the phone with T-Mob for almost 3 hours their stumped , they wrote up a trouble ticket 72 hours will be up tonight ,they say engineering is working on it.This is my third 9700 since it was released in November this has been going on for almost a week and a half

Check to see if your Firewall is enabled and is blocking incoming SMS

Options > Security Options > Firewall

Status should be Disabled, and Block Incoming Messages should all be unchecked

i can send them , just dont receive them,firewall stuff was all unchecked, got a new sim card today just for ****s n giggles , Nada . Waiting for T-Mo engineering to see what they come up with ??????

try to go to Options>SMS Text>Data coding>select 7bit hit menu and save..and see if it works now, for some reason data coding on my phone is changing to ucs2 on its own when I'm switching to other themes, and then I'm not getting sms from people from other them my wireless providers, weird but fact
