I'm having a hard time while trying to play a video on YouTube. It keeps giving me this error "Cannot find web address. Verify that this web address is valid.

An error has occurred attempting to play media."

Do you have any idea would the problem could be? I just bought my Bold 9700 and I'm really lost here.

Not sure, mine plays half the time and a lot of vids say I need to DL the newest version of Adobe or something like that or maybe it was flash related. Maybe we can get both our answers answered from the good peeps here.

Well as far as my experience has taught me videos play most of the time. Sometimes I get the error has occurred....in red. If you can't get any videos to play then I would suggest doing a soft reset which is left alt + right caps + delete. I hear this resets the connections. It has worked for me everytime.

Nope, tried the above solution and still getting the same error. I even used to have this same error while I had my Curve 8900.

Just to let you know that I do not live in the States or Europe so I'm not sure about Xenozu that you're talking about.

I was having that problem also figured out it had to do with Wifi

    White working wifi = good

Wifi off just using 3G= good

Grey out wifi = not working

Found the same thing for the app world also

Only figured that out since my wifi does not work at home and works at the officem

Let me know if that helps your problem
    Cheers

Done the above solution and still getting the same error. Is it because I haven't updated my OS version (currently on .344) to the latest one? Could this be the problem?

I have never had a problem with you tube. I can watch them on 3g or wifi. The HQ version of the videos are pretty damn good. I was very surprised just how much of a difference the HQ makes.

Try like I mentioned above turn off wifi, and it should work for you, that's unless your wifi is connected and not greyed out.

After following these stepshttp://http://forums.crackberry.com/...lution-361201/ ...after going to this link, YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

You went to YouTube - Broadcast Yourself., and followed the optimization steps? (keep in mind you have to LIE when the videos fail, and say you were able to watch them...) I just did it and I can watch youtube videos no problem ... Keep in mind, too, you should be going to the YouTube MOBILE site, not the regular site.

There's no reason it shouldn't work ... unless you have one of those Chinese pirated blackberry knock-offs....

Which videos do I have to lie about it? I have done the same process and still having a hard time with it. I really do not know what could be the problem here. Strange, really.
