Fwiw....Don't know about a 9930 but my son threw a 9360 on pavement. Works only when plugged in to charge. ...kinda defeats the purpose of a mobile phone.

Lol... I was once tempted to throw a hot coffee drenched Z10 at a wall (long story) but it wasn't working by that point anyway so... Not a good test. Lol. Have been tempted to set my hated Q10 on to vid record and use it as "blue rock" at the shotgun range... Lol. Just always have something better to do. Lol

My crew uses 9900s & Classics as data entry devices while performing out of position contortions inside control cabinets. We drop devices routinely. At least twice as often with our oversized Classics. Usually on to steel cabinet floor but sometimes on concrete. 9900's battery & cover might pop out and, if it lands just right, crack the screen. Screens on 9900 are cheep & quick to R&R. Never had one that didn't boot back up after battery was reinserted. So far, our Classics have experienced no real damage from these drops. Mangled parts of one Classic hang on the breakroom bulletin board in a ziplock "body bag". Victim of an unfortunate encounter from under a skid steer. Lol.

But, can't claim experience with throwing devices against the wall. Be sure vid is capturing to sd card when you try it. Lol.
