I just tried xplayer and like it much better than than Media Player, especially because it plays through my bluetooth and Media Player does not.

Is there any way to set xplayer as the default player when playing streaming content from the web. Righ now, all stereaming content plays in the media player.

Is there a setting under options->applications or possibly a file association?

I would like to know too.

Ideally, I would like to be able to go to the Digitally Imported mobile web page, and launch the .PLS files from there. This way I don't have to keep manually entered links in the application up to date.

You can't really set it in the OS anywhere, but you can associate file extensions withother apps if you use BBFileScout (free, and AWESOME) to browse your files. That program adds a ton to the BB, and it's arguably stuff that RIM should have included anyway. In fact, part of what BBFileScout does is beimg added to the Bold's OS in v5.0.
