I was just wondering because i guess i had a corrupted SD card or one that was dying and my device was practically unusable. My BB 9900 is only a year old, so i was surprised that this was happening. Got a new SD card and now everything is working fine. Anyone else experience this issue?

And aren't micro SD cards suppose 2 be flawless since it is flash memory?

To answer your second question, heck yeah they can fail. Can't everything?

If there's a corrupt file on the SD, it can cause misery to the point of freezing the phone while installed. Also, with an older phone like yours, having a large file library can slow down performance, since it has to maintain the index, and if it's a lot of images, the database cache created can be massive. Clearing out the BBThumb files, along with the Content Store on a regular basis, and letting them rebuild is highly recommended.

    Edit - Sorry, I thought I read 9000.

Forget the Content Store, and OS7 seems to handle corrupt files better.
