I switched from AT&T's awful service to T-Mobile and got an 8900.... I must say after using it for the past few days, its a bit "zippier" than the Bold. I hardly see a hourglass and havent had to do a battery pull yet. The smaller size takes a little getting used to though. I prefer a larger phone, just because it sits on my shoulder better when leaning my neck to the side but hopefully the case I ordered may fatten it up a bit.

Also - I use the UMA feature and make my calls thru Wifi... having Wifi & Bluetooth on all day doesnt drain the battery like the Bold does...

I recommend giving the phone a try...

That's funny I got the 8900 for my GF and I could swear that the battery on my Bold goes for longer with wi-fi/3g/ and half the day Bleutooth. Also i found the bold to be faster. I don't know maybe that's just me. But the 8900 is a great phone and looks really good. My GF will never give up that phone.

Good grads on the new device and better service

How do you feel about the adjustment from texting on the Bold to the 8900?

I just did the same thing, I was worried about the keypad but I didnt have to adjust at all. I like the feel of the 8900 but man I do miss my bold. Oh well just a sim card switch away.

No way that the Bold is slower than the 8900...

My Bold is quicker than the flash.

I will never get rid of my Bold for any other BB out there at this time but I've always wanted to use the 8900 for a day or two. I've never even seen it in person.

Haha! I just added a Bold to my collection and I love it. For me, the typing is soo much easier, not nearly as many mistakes as I made on my 8900 (which I still love).

But I didn't have to leave Tmo.

Glad you're enjoying your new curve

At least you stayed on a blackberry, and not a Sidekick. I would of named you Epic Fail of the month.
