I know this is a Bold forum but I am buying a new Bold in the morning. I currently own the Tour. I use GMail currently and works great, no problems. My question is when I get the Bold, do I load up Gmail first then Google Sync. Do I tell it to sync after loading. I DO NOT want to run a risk of duplicating contacts etc. hundreds of times. Should everything go smoothly since this is a brand new phone with nothing on it? Please help I have had this problem in the past and would hate to go thur it again.
I used the Device Switch Wizard when I went from my Tour to the Bold. That worked fine. If nothing else, you could use Desktop Manager to backup your current phone and if G Sync screws things up, restore the new phone from that backup. I don't use Google sync since I did have issues the one time I tried it.
