I'm tempted to sell my Bold 9930 that's 9 months old but in brand new condition. Problem is I don't know how much I should ask for it. I want to sell it so I can get the Q10 when it's released.
Actually I will be downgrading from my Z10 to the 9900. Personally, I can't deal with all the crazy little OS deficiencies on the Z10 at this time. I'm sure these will be ironed out in the coming years, but I prefer the old OS7.1 to OS10 at this time.
The 9900 is a fantastic phone and worthwhile hanging onto... wish I had.
with bis no longer needed for bb10. Does anyone know how long it will take for blackberry to decide to shut down bis? and what would that mean for the legacy devices?

Totally agree!
Imagine if we had 7.5 or 8.0 in Q10 with BB10 app catalog... One can dream, can't one? I loved my 9700, and I love my 9900 now. Can't wait for BB to fix OS10!
I got a new Z10 at launch and just last week I decided to pick up a new 9900. I've really been missing that keyboard.

Funny thing, I prefer Z10's keyboard. There is something odd with 9900's keyboard, awkward way to hold it, maybe i am too used to 9700 but i cant seem to grasp 9900 in same manner, it puts a point pressure on my right ring finger.
Z10 had the best keyboard I ever typed on. Physical and Virtual, best of all. Fastest, most accurate and almost without ever looking back to see if I misspelled anything.
Next in line 9900, I just need to learn how to hold this thing

I think it will be a few years still. There are still a lot of people around the world using legacy devices on OS 7 and lower so I don't think BlackBerry want to cut all those people off. They've also said they will support OS 7 devices for a few more years.
Reading threads like this makes me wish I never sold my 9900. Since then Ive went back to my iPhone 4 then ive went through a Galaxy Nexus, iPhone 5 and Galaxy Note 2. Now again back to my iPhone 4 I want the Q10. But Im starting to outgrow all the extra things put into phones and social networks. Thinking of either another go with a 9900 or go for a Q10.

I'm the same way..every time I give up my 9930 I always end up missing it..so I decided to keep it for now on my secondary line..such a great phone..hard to put it down..lol

I might get one from ebay and use that until the q10 is released. Was even thinking of a z10 since i hear suck good things about the keyboard. I'd still keep the 9900 though as a back up though
I want a new bb too but the q10 unlocked will be super expensive for me (im argentinian and new bbs dont get in here). So i guess i'll buy an unlocked bold 9900 on holidays somewhere else. From what i've been seeing it's still pretty cool! I own a curve 8520 now so it would still make a huge difference.
I almost bought one on eBay a few mins ago but got outbid lol. Might be a good thing though. Still looking at a z10 to give that a try. Blackberry why u make so many sexy phones!?!
having held both the white and black (wich is the one i got now) the black one seems to feel better in the hand and feels like is is made using better materials. This is my opinion might be worth looking at both before you make your mind up.
I've never actually seen the white 9900 out in the wild though I have seen a fair amount of the black. So the white has a rare factor going for it. I tend to prefer white devices on the whole but in the case of the 9900 I chose the black because of the back. The glass weave back on the black 9900 is just so nice. I really wish they had done the same treatment for the back on the white.
I'm very happy with my new 9900. Thanks for all your positive replies! It was the right decision to buy one.
And I think I have to buy a second one for my wife within the next weeks as a replacement for her 9800.
