    ....I have a feeling I already know the answer to this, but I'll ask anyway.

    We've got about 2700 BB in our org, 1500 of which are being refreshed from 9630s to 9650s. The 9650s are running OS 6. We are using BES 5.1 on the back end.

    Back in olden times, one could switch the handheld browser from "Blackberry Browser" to "Internet Browser", effectively changing the handheld from an internal resource (since the traffic routed through the BES) to an external resource using the carrier as the ISP - exceptionally useful if one happens to have el crappo brand internet proxies....

    I cannot find a way to do this under OS 6, so I'm assuming that RIM decided to "help" us by removing this feature?

    Correct, the choice of browser types was removed in OS6. Not sure where this leaves you and your enterprise.
