Hey guys. This is really weird. I am on my 4th or 5th bold now, so its a refurb if that makes a difference. When I put it on the charging cradle, or plug the charger directly in. It keeps trying to go into bedside mode then stops, and back and fourth repeatedly. it wont charge, wont stay on the clock screen it just keeps blanking in and out. I thought it was a phone issue so i got another one, then restored the new refurb and its doing the same thing. So I deleted all my programs and tried again, same thing so its not a software conflict. I did put my black bezel on. Please help anything I can check!!!???
Also the keyboard blinks on and off repeatedly. The phone will charge and enter bedside mode perfectly with the usb cable to the computer. But will not on the cradle or with the usb wall charger.
Check the charger you are using. A lot of the Motor. chargers will start to charge it for a min or two and then just crap out on ya! I forget and do this all the time with my mom's Razr charger!
the charger has got the be the issue as the others have stated above. When we first got our Bolds, i was happy that it was my first mini USB device. wife had a HTC Tilt prior and when we went to use the OEM HTC charger on the bold, it did the EXACT thing you are describing.
OK I am trying to figure it out 100% but its looking like its the wall charger. It seems to be not all the time which is what is fooling me. in and out of the cradle with the other charger seems to work good I will post back. Of all the blackberries I have had, I have never had this problem.
