Neither one is touchscreen but for the OP, here is my mini review of what I like about each device as I own both.

I have had both TWICE. I pefer the size of the 8900 but loved the speed of the Bold. It was faster on Wifi and basic internet. The Camera is better on the 8900 hands down, even though I barely use it. Currently I am back with the 8900.

WiFi internet is the same speed on both. My 8900 is very fast. The Bold is quite a bit larger than the 8900, you have to get them in your hands to decide. That's by far the biggest complaint on the Bold (size). The other big complaint is ATT's 3g network, dropped calls, freezes, that stuff. The other complaint is battery life. The 8900 is 2g and those complaints are minimal. The big complaint is the smaller keyboard. Some people just have trouble with it (you decide).

I love the size, and the keyboard on the Bold.

Plus the sound that comes out of that thing is amazing.

    WiFi + 3G + GPS = WIN

I like the size of the curve 8900, but I don't like the keyboard, nor that the trackball lights up.

I just wish the Bold had the same quality bezel as the 8900.

I have the Bold currently, but tomorrow, my 8900 on T-Mobile is arriving. I can't wait. The 8900 has a higher res screen, but the Bold has a brighter screen. It all depends on how you use your device, and what service you want to go with.

If you have AT&T, The Bold or much recently, the 8900.

If you have T-Mobile, the 8900 simply for the UMA calling alone.

if you want a 40 pixel wider screen, get a 8900.

if you want a brighter screen get a Bold.

if you want 3g and wifi goodness, get a Bold.

if you want a better camera, well save your money and get a real camera because cameras in phones generally suck.

if you like slightly bigger, easier to push keys, get a Bold.

if you like smaller devices, get a 8900.

pretty much everything else is the same.
