My bold is really slow... I know its because of application memory. I had iheartradio, myspace, facebook, and 2 other small apps. I tried clearing my logs and old messages and I got back 40k memory space. Then I deleted all the apps and got less memory available. I deleted all my browser cache and I didn't do a battery pull but I alt **** deleted it. The bold is still so slow! I am about to give up on this phone. I love it but its so slow. I am on .167 OS.
I did the alt _shift_ delete and it didn't help.... do i need to do a battery pull to I thought the alt shift_ delete was the same

I would absolutely upgrade your OS as well. (I went from .167 to .247) It made a huge difference for me. I was a bit skeptical/nervous to do an OS upgrade out of fear that I would destroy my phone, but the instructions on crackberry are very clear, and most ppl on these forums are awesome at helping. I actually think that you get better service and answers here then your carrier or Blackberry.
I agree with "newtoblack"; upgrade the OS to .247. It's a night and day difference from .167. For me EVERYTHING works faster and more reliably on .247.

If you LShift - Alt - Del, the as the phone boots back to the white screen you immediately Lshift - Alt - Del again its about the same as Quickpull,a dn near to a battery pull, but def do a pull anyway.
