I guess the real question is: what is the difference between this software and the same version that was released before or is there any?
This is still .297 obviously (not .517, that's the package version) but with probably just some minor fixes of the issues that it had when they pulled it.
I'm updating my Bold right now. I'll let you guys know how it goes and if I notice anything new or different from the previous one. I was already running the .297 on mine, the one AT&T released before they pulled it, so we'll see if they have changed anything. I doubt I will see much improvement.
If I had already updated my OS with the original .297, is there any real need to update again?
Well I know after I downloaded the original .297 I started experiencing minor email and backlight issues so hopefully this new update fixes those problems.
If I have already upgraded the OS and have no major issues, should I do another update? If so, what do I do with the original update files in the AppLoader directory on my hard drive?
I'm just subscribing to the thread so I can see how you guys like this new version. I had good results with the original .297, so I never stopped using it.

Crucial is it worth going from 301 to this one in your opinion. Based on what you know is coming down the road shortly?
I haven't tried it, but it should be perfectly fine. There is no more 4.6 development, only bug fixes. So it's at a minimum as good as .301.

Just stay where you're at if it works well. No point in messing with a good thing.
Tronyx, Love your site btw... dling the new update right now, hopefully at&t adds vvm so that I can use it, as I was a late user and they pulled it before I got a chance to add it to my plan.
