In case you've just been watching and waiting instead of posting the pic thinking we're just being mean of some sort. Let me explain.

Your problem is strange. Off center how?
A pic would help us greatly. We can probably tell you if you need a new case, or if something just isn't set right that you can fix yourself or use warranty to fix. Things like that.

Since we're on the topic of trackpads, mine seems a little too much IN. I've touched some 8520's and they all seem raised a little bit. I haven't got to touch another 9700 but it does not feel right..

    Is it right?

If you mean your trackpad is not 100% flush with the surrounding bezel, then it is a common problem. Many have reported that one side or corner of their trackpad is sunk in a little. This was a big problem with the first 9700 units when introduced!

    track pad is not centered.

its more like stuck right top corner, touching the top and right side.
let me know what you guys think and if its something i should call for warranty or insurance.
    anyone have this issue?
is it something i should take apart and try to fix?
