Touch screens no longer interest me. I've had a couple of touchscreen phones and to be honest I got sick of continually having to clean the screen and/or wash my hands before using it. I also got sick of accidentally selecting things with my ear. When I first got the Bold I kept going to touch the screen to select things and thought that I was going to miss out on something by having only the trackball, but now I wouldn't have it any other way. I don't even miss surfing with a touchscreen.
The Samsung Epix has the right idea:
Touchscreen with stylus and full keyed keyboard.
Personally I like some aspects of a touchscreen. It would be nice to have the best of both worlds but only if done well.
I am not a fan of touchscreen! I usually switch to newer BB fairly often, but if RIM is moving toward touchscreen phones, I guess I will be holding on to my Bold for a while.
I hate touchscreen as they are more proned to becoming scratched and there is no real benefit of them as opposed to a none touch screen phone, except yes a bigger screen ... whoopy you can watch porn larger on them... LOL

Now THERE'S a funny statement!
I had one of those bricks before I got my Bold and it was one of the most buggy, unusable phones I've ever had.
It will be a while before the Touchscreen Bold comes out, but not too long. I would love to see this device in action; it would be the best of both worlds for some people.

so for sure the driftwood is a touch screen phone with a full physical querty keyboard? cuz im itching for a touch screen but my house is a dead zone. an earthquake last year knocked down tons of verizon towers in my area last summer. the driftwood would be the perfect replacement
I have no problems with touchscreens, but personally I like the non touchscreens better. They seem to have bugs or more of a lag than non touchscreen phones.
