    Stone Cold.

After seeing yesterday's 9720 podcast on CB , I would not go for that device.
It doesn't have the premium look of the Bold.
Also it seems to take a long time for start up.

The 9900 seems like the better device.
I would not give up my Bold for a newer 9720.

yeah i saw that, i anticipated more out of the vid but hey an update is on the way......meanwhile i've been looking up on ebay and amazon for good and trustworthy 9900 deals seeing as retail stores dnt sell them anymore.

+ is there a such thing as old and new batches of the phone and would it make a difference, as the new batches would be improved somehow in someway not aesthetically but the insides if you get what i mean, would this be true? if so would ebay and amazon sellers have the new batches?

Blackberry Is still making the 9900. My company won't upgrade their BES to 10, and is moving to Windows 8 phones. I chose a new 9900 for my replacement. No windoze phones for me.
The build date was last week! Nice to see they still make (some) 9900's!

Just look around the forums, why are BBOS7 user hoarding and buying spare 9900's for future use?

A lot of 9900s have issues with weak or inconsistent wifi connections, even with making sure the antenna us properly aligned. Do you notice anything like that on your newer 9900, compared to any other wifi devices you have? I will buy a new one if that problem is fixed.

Is the build date as the wording suggests, when the device was actually made??? And if so how do I go about finding out the build date of my 9900 when I get one???

9900 is a great looking phone, has own flavors but still has few annoying bugs that are a no go for me..
    - camera - pictures are really bad in comparison even to my old 9700
    - gps - waiting for fix sometimes 10min.. c'mon..
    - screen - touch not working in direct sunlight, sometimes even on not so bright day
    - battery - well I'm ok with that since it's going 1-2 days depending on usage
    - apps - nothing to do here, when choosing OS5/6/7 device you must be ready that these are dead systems.

I'm not looking forward to any of those problems other than the dead system, excited bout that, hopefully the other problems dnt arise for me

    Hi There,

Have been using Mugen 1500ah Battery in my 9900, no problem with battery life. Also have a 3,600ah battery for travelling to the remote parts of the globe.

I love my Bold to bits, proud to show my friends how it's the fastest mobile in the West!

Thanks for the info dude, these positive comments bout the 9900 make me feel good inside, damn I want one myself badly! Gotta be patient, the time will come. And its a shame I cnt find any youtube videos of a personal review/overview of the 9900's performance and everything in 2013, if a bold user could do that, not only for me but for others out there who may also be thinking to get a 9900, thats would be great and much appreciated

thanks for the vid dude...........right now I'm torn between on whether to get the 9720 or 9900, either i get the 9720 for 170 or the 9900 for lets say 240+, so i can save alot of money by getting the 9720 and at the same time get a brand new OS 7 device or get the 9900 which has immaculate build quality, niceee screen and a really nice keyboard....I dont know what to do

    Hi there,

Don't be tempted by newer os on 9720. Bold 9900 is higher quality and build, Best ever keyboard, faster processor, more ram, 8gb built in memory, and a library of optional accessories.

Most important thing is to upgrade it to latest OS 7.1, my favourite is 7.1.0.825 Vodafone DE.

True, that is all true, but the constant complaints about the phone put me off abit but then again, the good sayings bout the phone put the phone way up in my head. Right now I have concluded if I can get a 9900 at a good price, below 230 I will get it asap but if not imma consider the 9720 as I'm on a budget aswell

Like you , I had read the negative stuff about the device.
There are also many threads about how great it is !
    It is somewhat confusing !

Anyway , I decided to go for it & bought mine on eBay .
( bought slightly used in May )

Until now it has been rock solid.
I am totally pleased with it & haven't had any problems at all !

Go for it , join the Bold !

I have a Z10 but yesterday I found my old 9900 and that phone just looked good and felt good in my hands, I think the look and build is far superior to the Z10. If they only built a 9900 with OS10 then....

It looks really good and quite unique.

I think if you go into any forum, no matter the manufacturer, you'll see both pros & cons on that particular model. Bottom line is the 9900/30 is the very best legacy BB ever, and IMHO coupled with BL Hybrid is the best BB period!
