my bold has been shutting down randomly and i am running OS 5.0.0.238 with only 21.0MB free on the memory. could the memory be the issue? would it be best to downgrade to an official OS?

I'm running .238 and my bold works perfectly. Did you install any apps recently? Do you have too many apps running/updating in the background. Close the apps properly after use.

I only had one random reboot and that was this morning.. Not too much of a problem.. It is working perfectly otherwise!
Cheers,
Charlie
i have also been getting random shutdowns, have had os 5.0 for about 4 days, it has shut down randomly on me twice
Upgrade to 4.6.0.297 the memory management seems much better and i haven't had any random shutdowns since I upgraded.
you mean downgrade?
I've been running the 5.0.0.238 OS for the past 36hrs.. so far no random shutdowns.. memory seems to be holding great.
Battery life is so much better compared to the 4.6s that i've tried.
I haven't had any shut downs but did get a lot of error messages. I down graded to .297 then reloaded the OS again and haven't had a problem since. Something must have went wrong the first time I loaded it.
