bold keeps thinking i'm roaming.

My best friends bold keeps telling her she is roaming even though she is not abroad or anywhere where there is weak signal.

She is on the 3UK network. This happens when network selection is on automatic and you can see the triangle next to the network name on the home screen. However, if I put network selection on manual and select 3 - 3G or 2G it will be fine.

What is the issue here because even when I set it to automatic it jumps on to the 3 network but says she is roaming. She never cared about it at first but it seems to be affecting her blackberry service now.

Tell your friend to see whether a battery pull helps. Pull the battery out while the device is switched ON and put it back after 20 seconds.

I dunno if this is the case for 3UK but for 3Aust roaming is when you're connected to the 2g network (3 doesn't have it's own 2g network so it's "Roaming" on a different carrier's network)
All it means is that she's not connecting to the 3g network where she is

^i think you're right. Its only roaming when she gets 2g signal.
